“Jack In The Box” is a mixed media artwork, created using Ink, Cardboard, Watercolor, Watercolor Paper, Foam, and a Shadowbox. Colby created this work in response to a depressive episode following the Covid-19 Pandemic, the artist was at odds with their upbringing in Texas and wanted to create a work that responds to the juxtaposition of work created in the atmosphere at UCLA and use a medium that is familiar.
